It's been TEN years since Hannah Montana: The Movie was released

We simply cannot believe that it has been TEN years since “Hannah Montana: The Movie” was released to cinemas!

The movie is based upon the popular Disney Channel series, which starred Miley Cyrus as Miley Stewart, who has a secret identity as the famous popstar Hannah Montana. But when she is not on stage, she is just a normal teenager. Only her family and close friends know her secret.

In the movie, Miley Stewart lets her fame as Hannah Montana get to her head, as she ends up in a fight with Tyra Banks over a pair of shoes, and is forced to attend her best friend Lilly Truscott’s (Emily Osment) 16th birthday party as Hannah rather than as herself, as undercover reporter Oswald Granger (Peter Gunn) follows her on the way there, as he vows to uncover Hannah’s ‘secret’.

Miley’s dad, Robby Ray Stewart, (played by Miley’s real-life father, Billy Ray Cyrus) is upset with her behaviour so he decides to take Miley back to her hometown of Crowley Corners, Tennessee, telling her that she needs to remember where she came from.

Whilst there, Miley reunites with a childhood friend, Travis Brody (Lucas Till) and discovers that part of the town is being destroyed to build a shopping mall. Miley decides to contribute to a charity to save the town, and performs “Hoedown Throwdown” at a barn party. Travis suggests that Hannah Montana should make an appearance at the upcoming Crowley Corners charity concert…

Miley and Lilly reconcile, and Lilly arrives in Crowley Corners, disguised as Hannah Montana, to help Miley with her Hannah duties. Unfortunately for Miley, Lilly accidentally led Oswald, who is still determined to find out Hannah’s ‘secret’, into Crowley Corners. Realising Travis has a crush on her, and surrounded by family and a town full of people wanting to save their community, Miley soon finds it difficult to be Hannah Montana in a place she once called home. Will she be able to keep her secret, or is she forced to give up her life as Hannah Montana for good? You’ll have to watch the movie to find out!

The movie is a heart-warming story about family and never forgetting where one comes from. It has scenes that will make you both laugh and cry! The movie also features star-studded cameos from Tyra Banks, Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift!

The movie also has an awesome soundtrack, featuring songs from both Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana, as well as other artists. The soundtrack is also responsible for one of Miley’s biggest hits, “The Climb”:
